"Fishin Shiva"

My dad passed away on Sunday, 9-Sep-2001. On Tues, 11-Sep-2001,
the world trade center was destroyed.

I really need a vacation, so I'm off to Bluffy Lake.

Please see the web pages of last year with my dad, and this year's pepper garden.

This photo was taken the day of the funeral at the shiva house.

Cousin Aaron, just as all the cousins, share our grief. Its been a rough week for Aaron too, who just got layed off his job as executive chef in Chicago.
I pick him up at his apartment in Chicago on Friday evening, and we head North.

What are these hills and cliffs doing in the middle of Wisconsin? These are the Wisconsin Dells!

The fishing is decent so far. Debbie was showing me the freezer last night, full of frozen fish to be mounted. She told me about a little girl that had caught a 27 3/4 inch Northern, but didn't put it on a wooden board in the freezer, so it got messed up. I told Debbie I would replace it.
Keith reluctantly allows me to take this picture... the 28 inch Northern I caught the next day, as promised. I caught it on 8 pound test line with a minnow and jig while fishin for Walleye at the base of a waterfall.

We catch so many, we start throwin 'em back. Here's our catch and Chef Aaron, as he sharpens up his special Japanese knifes.

Cousin Aaron pushes me out of the kitchen and takes over. After waking me up in the morning with eggs rancheros, the Chef prepares an Italian theme meal fit for a king! Grilled Walleye with a "sauce" made of artichoke hearts, roasted bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, with an orzo made with astigo cheese, fresh broccoli, and two whole walleye stuffed with herbs and roasted on the grill.
